Local Business Highlights: Green Roots Meals and Studio Serendipity Photography
This month we are excited to feature these fabulous local businesses: Green Roots Meals and Studio Serendipity Photography! Green Roots Meals is a family-owned, Denver meal delivery company, serving and delivering authentic Mexican food all over the Denver area. Amy McInerny is a photographer, and through her business, Studio Serendipity Photography, she captures precious moments and helps clients them support their businesses and brands.
Green Roots Meals
Owned by moms' Liz Gonzalez and Erica Arteaga, this Denver-based small business provides traditional, authentic Mexican food made with the best quality ingredients, from original family recipes, delivered frozen to your doorstep. Originally from Mexico, family and food play an important role in Liz and Erica's culture and identity. They understand the value of coming together to enjoy a meal, which inspired them to create Green Roots Meals. The convenience of their products takes the time and stress out of planning every meal, helping families to spend more quality time together.
Due to COVID-19, the idea to create Green Roots Meals was born. Erica and Liz had known each other for several years, and had dreamt of partnering up one day. Both of their businesses were affected by the pandemic; Erica’s commercial accounts experienced a closure, and Liz’s beauty business was adversely affected. As moms, they understand how difficult it is to plan for meals, especially during a lockdown. Liz and Erica decided to start offering their delicious Mexican meal options to their community, and have been delivering Green Roots Meals every week since late March.
Among many dishes, they are happy to offer some popular Mexican dishes, such as carnitas, chile rellenos, barbacoa, chicken tinga, tamales, salsa, Mexican strawberry cheesecake, key lime pie, and much more. Their food is delivered prepared and frozen, taking all of the work out of meal planning. Green Roots Meals distributes Mexican food all over the Denver Metro Area, selling to restaurants, food trucks, and families.
To place an order, you can visit their website at greenrootsmeals.com or call at 303-952-6194 for more information. Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram at @GreenRootsMeals! They deliver meals every Wednesday, and customers can place orders any day of the week before Tuesdays at 8pm to ensure their delivery for Wednesdays.
Studio Serendipity Photography
Amy McInerny, photographer and owner of Studio Serendipity Photography, specializes in photographing families, children, pets, professional head shots, and personal branding photos. Studio Serendipity is based in Denver, and excels in producing artwork for clients' homes and heirlooms for their families. They are a boutique studio that creates speciality products and display options to suit their clients' personal style.
In the midst of the pandemic, Amy has taken part in the Front Steps Project, where she photographed 125 families in the 7 days before and after the lockdown ensued. Through the project, she would charge a rate of $50, to be donated to both the Food Bank of the Rockies, and the Dumb Friends League. In total she raised over $4,500, and got to know many Colorado families along the way.
Studio Serendipity Photography is a rare find. They not only take incredible photos, but take their time to get to know their clients. Client consultations are a means for getting to know each other's styles and needs, and it shows through in the production quality. With business head shots and personal branding, Amy can help with everything from wardrobe suggestions to storytelling narratives for marketing and social media. And whether family shoots are for wall portraits or photo albums, these are items that clients can cherish forever.
