That’s why we’re so excited to share one of our favorite local resources for creating a beautiful, sustainable yard: Garden In A Box by Resource Central.

This community program makes it easy to plant a professionally designed, water-wise garden that thrives in Colorado’s unique climate. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a total beginner, Garden In A Box takes the guesswork out of the process by providing everything you need to get started.

Each kit comes with:

• A selection of regionally appropriate perennial plants
• A planting map and helpful instructions
• Designs that support pollinators like bees and butterflies
• Low-maintenance, water-saving plant choices

We love that it’s an easy, accessible way to reduce lawn space, lower water bills, and add curb appeal. Plus, many cities offer rebates or discounts when you switch to a water-wise landscape. If you’ve been thinking about creating a more eco-friendly yard, this is a fantastic way to start.

Garden In A Box offers two purchase seasons each year:

• Pre-order in March for pickup and planting in May and June.
• Pre-order in June for pickup and planting in August and September.

These boxes tend to sell out quickly, so we recommend signing up for the interest list to get early access and updates when new gardens become available. The next restock date is June 18, 2025!
