If there’s one thing that always refreshes the soul, it’s getting out into nature. And lucky for us, the U.S. is home to some of the most breathtaking natural wonders on Earth, all tucked away inside our incredible National Parks.

Even better? There are several days each year when you can visit them completely free of charge. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just want to take in the views from a scenic overlook, 2025 is the perfect year to plan your park adventure.

What Are Free Days?

Every year, the National Park Service designates a handful of days when entrance fees are waived at all national parks that normally charge an entry fee. In 2025, there are five Free Days, giving you the perfect excuse to pack a picnic, grab your camera, and head into the wild.

Free Entrance Days for 2025:

  • January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • April 19: First Day of National Park Week
  • June 14: Juneteenth National Independence Day
  • August 4: Great American Outdoors Day
  • September 27: National Public Lands Day

While entry is free on these dates, keep in mind that fees for things like camping, special tours, or transportation inside the park might still apply.

Why Visit National Parks?

Each National Park tells its own story. Some are filled with dramatic landscapes carved by ancient glaciers, others protect rare wildlife and ecosystems, and many preserve cultural history and heritage. Visiting these parks gives us a chance to disconnect from our everyday routines and reconnect with the natural world.

There’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re into photography, hiking, stargazing, or simply soaking in the beauty of the outdoors, national parks offer experiences that are as unique as you are.

And who knows? That connection to nature might even inspire a move to a new location that brings you closer to the places you love. (If that’s the case, reach out to us for some assistance!)
