This month, we had the opportunity to interview local businesses via the web-based 9News production, Live Local. As business owners in the community find creative ways to stay open and operate under social distancing guidelines, this service has helped to spread the message to Coloradans about local companies staying open, and what they’re able to offer.

Faeder Creations Ltd.

Faeder Creations, founded by woodworker Mike Faeder, was heavily impacted at the start of the pandemic. Thankfully, as businesses began to open up again, he experienced an increase in demand – specifically in standing desks. As many Coloradans are now employed from home, there is a greater need for ergonomic office equipment. Faeder has also adapted his commercial business endeavors to include wooden menu engraving. Under new Colorado law, paper menus are no longer allowed in restaurants; however, contactless wooden menus are good to go! Faeder has been working with local restaurants to laser engrave wooden menus with QR codes that can be scanned by smart phones, allowing patrons to quickly view menus on their devices, rather than interacting with traditional physical menus. Art of Home Team’s Heather Truhan

Lastly, our own Heather Truhan was interviewed this past month at her listing in Whittier, which went under contract in just three days! Though its been a bit of a roller coaster of a year since the pandemic started, the team has been able to adapt by creating virtual video tours of homes, keeping listings squeaky clean, staging vacant properties, and using hand sanitizer, gloves, and masks when conducting business in-person. Creative marketing has been especially important in promoting listings. Involving local art in the showing process by hanging paintings or other visual works of art is just one example of how the team goes above and beyond to promote new listings, as well as local artists! Get in touch with Heather at heather@artofhometeam.com or by calling 720-272-9299. If you haven’t already, find Art of Home Team on Facebook and Instagram!
